Christi Keating Sumich

Christi Keating Sumich holds a PhD in history from Tulane University and also holds a Master’s degree in English. She is a lifelong resident of New Orleans and has taught history classes at Tulane University and Loyola University New Orleans. Christi is the author of Divine Doctors and Dreadful Distempers, a serious book that very few people have read. She is married to her high school sweetheart and is the mother of three grown children (plus a daughter-in-law). She is a pet parent to 2 cats, 2 dogs, 1 granddog, and 1 grandhamster. She has a soft spot for “unconventionally attractive” animals who need homes, and her claim to fame is being the winningest contestant on Hollywood Squares. Christi and her mom Sharon are the co-authors of Haunting Good Spirits: 40 New Orleans Cocktails to Die For and The Brandy Milk Punch.
