About the author
Lorraine Norwood is convinced she was born in the wrong country and the wrong century. In the here and now, she is a former journalist and archaeologist who lives in Western North Carolina. Her short stories and essays have been published non-fiction essays, short stories, and memoir. She has won awards in the Atlanta Writers Club contests and NC Writers Fiction. She is a member of the Historical Novel Society, Womens' Fiction Writers Association, and Author Accelerator. Her debut novel, The Solitary Sparrow, is the first book in a four-book series called The Margaret Chronicles. She is at work on the sequel, A Pelican in the Wilderness. The novels are set in 14th century England, France, and Germany. Lorraine is also a certified Book Coach and developmental editor. Her writing companions include Sally, an always-hungry yellow Lab who is sure the sofa was brought in just for her and Macavity, an aloof cat who sometimes deigns to be touched.
