One of my dreams since starting my teaching career almost 10 years ago, was to become a children’s book author. After reading countless picture books to my students and always sharing about my love for lacrosse, I realized that we are missing something: a children’s book about lacrosse! And even more importantly, girls in sports! After doing some research I realized how few books there were about a sport that I love so dearly, and wanted to make it my mission to write and create a book that young girls will love to grow the game and hopefully motivate girls to try lacrosse or at least want to learn about it. Whether it’s lacrosse, field hockey, golf, or more- if kids have never heard of it they won’t know they can play it! I hope to share the game of lacrosse with the next generation and inspire young girls to try something new. 🥍💪🏼💗✨
