Jordan Ostroff doesn’t remember a time when he didn’t want to be an attorney. No one, including Jordan, knew where the idea came from. His father worked for the post office, his mother was a substitute teacher, he had no exposure to lawyers as he grew up in South Florida. But he knew he was going to be a lawyer someday even though he didn’t actually know what a lawyer did for years. Jordan came to Orlando to attend the University of Central Florida. He had his first taste of ‘real lawyering’ when he competed on the UCF trial team. He traveled around the country trying imaginary cases while learning real skills. Those skills came in handy when he entered Barry University’s School of Law and continued the path to becoming a great trial attorney. He graduated with high honors, a litigation certificate, and an offer to work as an Assistant State Attorney for the state of Florida. Jordan couldn’t have picked a better place to hone his trial skills. He saw thousands of cases, filed hundreds of motions, took part in innumerable negotiations, and conducted over fifty trials. Jordan left the State Attorney’s office with invaluable experience and a dream. The dream: open a law office and do it a different way. Break the mold of stodgy law firms that have been operating the same way for decades. Jordan’s idea was to leverage the latest technologies and create a law office that could solely focus on the client. Jordan Law (now Driven Law) opened in 2015 in a small office and one attorney – Jordan was the founding partner and everything else that first year. Now, Driven Law has a full staff and a dynamic office in its own building. Jordan’s dream has been realized – his firm is a cutting-edge, completely client-focused practice. When he’s not managing the office and keeping up with the latest technology, Jordan can usually be found playing disc golf, eating with friends, or enjoying Sea World, Universal Studios, and everything Central Florida has to offer with his wife and son. Sometimes, he just plays with Star Wars toys or Hot Wheels, which his son will borrow on occasion.
