An incurable romantic, Ann K. Simpson was raised with big dreams in the deep South and collected degrees from the University of California, Berkeley (law), the University of Texas at Austin (journalism), and the University of Alabama (Spanish). Her contest-winning fiction has appeared in Say Good Night to Illiteracy, Transformation, and the Texas Bar Journal, and her nonfiction has appeared in various magazines and newspapers. The mother of two currently lives in Washington, DC.
