I relish telling stories. I’ve been educated by amazing parents, curiosity, books, and considerable travels. My father designed beautiful buildings. My mother wrote about everything: cookbooks, romance novels, historical fiction. Both were very encouraging towards my writing.
When my parents separated, I traveled between Europe and Florida, most often in two-year stints. I graduated from Wiesbaden American High School (for military and State Department dependents) in Wiesbaden, Germany. In 1972, I attended the University of Florida, Gainesville, studying toward a degree in the Arts. On a break from university life, I worked as a photographer’s assistant for a terrific photographer in Mamaroneck, NY. I eventually opened a studio in NYC specializing in architecture. Between still assignments, I began producing film and video productions.
I am married to a wonderful woman, a modern dancer & choreographer, and we have two lovely children. Some years ago we moved from Connecticut to South Carolina. We’ve never regretted leaving Connecticut’s weather, taxes, and sanctimonious politicians—but we truly miss our northern friends!
