Terry Reese is a board-certified professional Christian counselor who specializes in helping Christian men navigate same-sex attraction while maintaining their faith. With over two decades of experience in counseling and a personal journey of reconciling his own sexuality with his Christian beliefs, Terry offers a unique perspective on sexual identity and faith integration.
As the cofounder of Biblical Sexual Integrity and developer of Faith-Based Acceptance, Abstinence, Congruency, and Practice Therapy, Terry is dedicated to providing resources and support for those experiencing incongruent feelings of same-sex attraction. His approach emphasizes living authentically while honoring Christian values, helping individuals find peace and acceptance within themselves and their faith communities.
Terry’s expertise is grounded in his extensive education and military service. He is currently pursuing a PhD in counseling and psychological studies at Regent University, holds a master of science in clinical mental health counseling, and served 26 years in the U.S. military. His credentials include licensed professional counselor, clinical substance abuse counselor, and certified multiple addictions therapist, among others. Terry has also been featured in various media outlets, including a White House blog post.
A devoted family man, Terry lives in Greenville, Wisconsin, with his wife of 18 years, Holly, and their three children. His personal experiences have deeply informed his professional work, allowing him to empathetically guide others through similar struggles.
