I began my writing journey in earnest after retiring from a long career as a financial officer. Throughout my life I've been an avid reader and daily journaler, so when I retired, I decided to spend my free time writing the type of book I wanted to read. I dedicated months researching the historical context of this story and then years honing my skill to tell it.
A conversation with my stepmother in 1997 was the inspiration for Désirée's Story. During that conversation, Desi revealed a long-held secret about her past, but then refused to discuss it further. Désirée's Story – Series is a work of historical fiction and is my attempt to answer the questions Desi left unanswered.
I live with my husband and sister in the woods of the Pacific Northwest nestled along a quiet little bay. My love for reading remains unquenchable, and I channel my passion for storytelling into writing stories of hope and resilience, while enjoying quality time with my family, friends, and fellow writers.
