Hello. My name is Ricardo Luis Aranda, but I prefer to be called Ricky. I am 11 years old and attending middle school in Portland, Oregon, USA. In 5th grade, I and three other people did a project on deforestation in the Amazon rainforest, South America, and how important its survival is for the human race and all living things. My book, Sunrise in the Amazon, talks about the Amazon rainforest, how it's dying, and what we, as individuals, can do to help.
