Dana Schocke

My name is Dana Schocke, I am first a Christian with a very strong faith, wife to my amazing husband, Herb, mother to Julee and Jenna and stepmother to my bonus children, Kelley and Colten. I am Nana to Karter (6) and Kooper (3). I have 3 dogs, Baby, Mia, and Luke, 2 miniature donkeys, Ruth and Ruby and a precious cow, Walter. I am an Advanced-EMT and have worked almost 20 years of my career in the Emergency Room. I have a passion for patient care and thrive on making personal connections with those who are struggling with life. Julee is my daughter who passed away from Thymic Carcinoma with metastatic bone cancer March 3, 2024. After searching online for a book to help me navigate her cancer journey and talk about hard topics, I found nothing for parents of adult children. Julee and I decided we would come up with our own book and she made me promise to finish it when I would be working through processing my grief. I have kept our promise, and I pray that this book will empower parents to lean on the Lord while embracing their emotions with validation and understanding they are not alone.
