Dhivakar Poosapadi, a distinguished oil and gas research engineer, specializes in the design, development, and commissioning of advanced drilling systems, including subsea completion systems, well access systems, and riser gas handling systems. He has held critical roles at globally renowned organizations such as Keppel Offshore and Marine Technology, TechnipFMC, and Halliburton.

With a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Dhivakar has pioneered industry-transforming products like the Riser Drilling Device and Reservoir Downhole Condition Monitoring Systems, which operate under extreme high-pressure and high-temperatures (HPHT). These innovations that include patent contributions have redefined safety and efficiency in offshore drilling, meeting stringent API and ASME standards.

Dhivakar has also contributed as a peer reviewer for leading organizations, including the Offshore Technology Conference and the Society of Petroleum Engineers, shaping advancements in the field. His groundbreaking work has earned him prestigious accolades, including the ASME Woelfel Best Mechanical Engineering Achievement Award and Hart’s Meritorious Engineering Awards, solidifying his position as a leader in the oil and gas industry.
