关于作者

Marianne Steele is a retired Shiatsu practitioner and instructor with a distinguished twenty five year career in holistic healing and bodywork. Recognized for her expertise in both the United States and Germany, she was a certified practitioner and registered instructor with the American Organization of Bodywork Therapies of Asia (AOBTA) and the German Shiatsu Society (Gesellschaft für Shiatsu in Deutschland). With a deep passion for the healing arts, Marianne taught Qi Gong and spent over a decade working with military personnel in Germany as a Shiatsu and massage practitioner. She also volunteered her skills to Vacation from War, a peace program supporting young people affected by conflict in Bosnia and the Middle East, using the power of touch to promote healing. Beyond her hands-on practice, Marianne has shared her knowledge through writing, publishing articles in both English and German on the connection between Shiatsu, trauma, and holistic healing. Her dedication to the field has earned her multiple awards, including recognition from the U.S. Army Garrison Baden-Württemberg, Americans Working Around the Globe (AWAG), and Aktionkinderschutz e.V. for her contributions to community well-being. She currently lives in Germany with her husband, German poet Stefan Hyner, where she continues to explore the connections between healing, storytelling, and personal transformation.
