Hanife Hassan O'Keeffe

I was born in the karpaz region of Cyprus into a Turkish Cypriot family, during a time when Cyprus was a British colony. When I was four years old, my family moved to the UK where I have lived ever since. Previously, I worked as a freelance illustrator, creating artworks for clients in the publishing, design and advertising sectors as well as private commissions. More recently I have been using my Turkish language skills to translate and interpret for various organisations. I founded Turkoise Publications in order to publish my own illustrated bilingual books for adults and children.
