J.M.L. holds a degree in psychology from Penn State University, specializing in industrial-organizational psychology. They worked in the OSP research lab studying the intersection of artificial intelligence and human behavior, among other topics - where they had the opportunity to be mentored by and work with some of the brightest minds of our time. Later, while working as the Executive Director of a local Chamber of Commerce, they experienced both the inspiring heights of human potential and the murkier depths of human nature firsthand. J.M.L. channels their passion for understanding systems and people into writing (when they’re not working for a nonprofit), exploring the absurdities of modern life with humor, insight, and a touch of existential dread. “So, We’re Just Supposed to Work Until We Die?” is their latest work, offering a relatable survival guide for navigating the chaos of adulthood in today’s world.
