Tammy Borden is a professional copywriter turned novelist, having authored two books based on true stories. Her debut historical novel shares the compelling true story of her mother growing up during World War II under Nazi rule. "Waltraud: A True Story of Growing Up in Nazi Germany" spans the pre-war era beginning in 1937 at age 10 through post-war Germany. This heart-gripping narrative shares an often untold perspective of an average German girl growing up under the watchful eyes of Nazi leaders, and demonstrates incredible strength, courage, and resistance under Hitler's regime. It is told from the perspective of the main character, Waltraud, to create the sense she is speaking the words directly to the reader much like she spoke them to the author. Tammy's first book, "A Perennial Life — Finding Purpose in Every Season," is a memoir sharing her own life story and the journey to find herself after a tumultuous childhood and life-threatening eating disorder. This faith-based book encourages and empowers those struggling with poor self-esteem, addiction, self-harm, bulimia, anorexia, and other behavioral addictions, and helps readers discover God and His purpose for their lives in the process.
