Troy A. Burns MD

Troy A. Burns, MD, is a practicing primary care physician and the Founder and Medical Director of ProPartners Healthcare, Kansas City’s leading Direct Primary Care medical practice. He also serves on the Steering Committee of the Direct Primary Care Coalition, an advocacy group in Washington, DC, which represents physicians, healthcare associations, employers, and others who support the advancement of policies that promote better primary care. Dr. Burns previously founded and built a multistate medical practice specializing in men’s health with thirty-six practices in twenty-three states. He received his medical degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1986 and completed an Internal Medicine internship at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City. Dr. Burns is a husband, father of four, father-in-law of two and “gramps” of two. He is a vocalist and keyboardist, having played for decades in classic rock bands, musical theater pit orchestras and on church worship teams.
