Andrew Whitmarsh has worked as a curator in military history museums for over 25 years, and since 2001 as the curator of The D-Day Story, Portsmouth (formerly the D-Day Museum). That museum is home to the last surviving intact ‘Landing Craft, Tank’ that took part in the Normandy Landings: LCT 7074. Outside work, he has written three books for The History Press: most recently "D-Day Landing Craft", as well as "Portsmouth at War" and "D-Day in Photographs". He has also written a range of articles on military history subjects, is a regular public lecturer on WW2 topics, and has regularly featured in the media talking about D-Day.
