William John “Bill” Reynolds was born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The son of an Irish-Catholic coal miner whose job and industry died when Bill was twelve. The regional economic depression affected him, his family, and many others. Bill enlisted after high school. Following his Vietnam Era discharge, he graduated from Texas A&M University and became an Air Force officer flying B-52 bombers. Later, Reynolds wrote and supervised technical writing and training material development for several Defense Department flying training programs. He retired after 45 years in DoD and found time to write. It was like an eruption when he discovered his poetic nature. Now he reads and writes poetry, non-fiction, and the occasional fib north of Austin, Texas.
