Dr. Cathy Hung is a native of Taipei, Taiwan. She briefly lived in Singapore for two years before coming to U.S. at age of 18 on a student visa. She had moved from California to New York City, now residing in New Jersey. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minor in music from University of California at Berkeley and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Columbia University. She is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and a solo practitioner. In her earlier years, she was an award-winning writer in Chinese. Through the years, she had gained experiences living in different parts of America and now is sharing her life journey in English. Her passion is to enhance diversity and inclusion via her own story-telling. Her first book, "Pulling Wisdom: filling the gaps in cross-cultural communication for healthcare professionals", was written to honor her late father and to share her experience as a healthcare provider and a caregiver for a cancer patient--her own father. She is part of American Dental Association's Institute for Diversity in Leadership program, class 2019-2020. She is a national speaker, author and certified life coach, of "Pulling Wisdom Coaching and Workshops".
