Craig is president and principal consultant of Mullins Consulting, Inc. He has four decades of experience in all facets of database systems development including creating and teaching database classes, systems analysis and design, data analysis, database and system administration, and data modeling. Craig has worked with Db2 on the mainframe since Version 1 and has experience working with other database technology including Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase IMS, and others. Craig writes for many publications, having authored articles for popular journals and web sites including Database Trends and Applications, TDAN, TechTarget, Big Data Quarterly, and more. Craig is a frequent presenter at industry events, having spoken about database issues to thousands at conferences including IDUG, SHARE, IBM Insight, Data Summit, DAMA Symposium and Oracle World. Craig has been recognized by IBM as an IBM Champion for Data and AI, as well as being appointed by IBM as a Gold Consultant for Db2. Craig was also named as one of the Top 200 Thought Leaders in Big Data & Analytics by AnalyticsWeek.And Red Gate appointed Craig as one of the 100 most influential in the database community. Craig graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a double major in Computer Science and Economics, and a minor in Mathematics. He was awarded membership in the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society.
