Greg Michaelson

Greg has been publishing short stories since 2001. His first novel, The Wave Singer (Argyll, 2008) was shortlisted for a Scottish Arts Council/Scottish Mortgage Trust First Book Award. Equinox, a novel co-written with Ruth Aylett, was published by Stairwell in 2023. He lives in Edinburgh. Greg is Emeritus Professor of Computer Science at Heriot Watt University. He has written texts on Functional Programming Through Lambda Calculus (Addison Wesley, 1989) and Standard ML (UCL Press, 1995), and co-authored on Classical Econophysics (Routledge, 2009, with Alllin Cottrell, Paul Cockshott, Ian Wright & Victor Yakovenko)) and Computation and its Limits (OUP, 2015, with Paul Cockshott & Lewis Mackenzie).
