Herbert Sauro is a Professor at the University of Washington in the Department of Bioengineering in Seattle. His main professional interest is understanding how biological cells work. He holds degrees from the UK in biochemistry and microbiology, mathematics, computing, and systems biology and has lived in the US for over 20 years as a naturalized citizen. Apart from writing textbooks for his students, he also writes textbooks on computer programming and mathematics at both K12 and college levels.
