I've noticed over the years that researchers often have a love-hate relationship with statistics and so I'm eager to make the subject accessible and fun. The new bigger and better second edition of 'Oxford Handbook of Medical Statistics' (2020) is again a partnership between statistics and medicine, written with Phil Peacock, Consultant in paediatric emergency medicine. 'Presenting Medical Statistics from Proposal to Publication' (2nd ed 2017) was written with Sally Kerry (QMUL) and Ray Balise (Univ of Miami). It shows how to do and report statistical analyses in R, Stata, SAS, SPSS and includes a free website with datasets, output and code, thanks to Ray. http://medical-statistics.info. 'Statistical Questions in Evidence-based Medicine' (2000) was written with my mentor and friend Martin Bland (York) and includes questions and answers from real research, aiming to help readers assimilate key concepts. There is also a Japanese version available from Amazon.jp. I hope you enjoy the books. Let me know at janet.peacock@dartmouth.edu
