From the time I was a child, I loved writing stories. If you love to write stories, keep writing! And if you have a friend or two who will read your stories and give you an honest opinion, listen to them! All writers have to revise. So listen to your earnest readers and revise your stories to make them better. Every writer in the world has to do this to succeed. I attended Catholic school as a girl. And I mean real, old fashioned, Catholic school, where knuckles were rapped with wooden rulers and the teachers were greatly feared and yet mercilessly pranked. When I was a teenager, I read the Bible for myself, came to believe in Justification by faith, and became thoroughly Protestant in my beliefs. The other great love of my life was, and still is, martial arts. Shortly after I graduated from college, I earned my black belt, and over the years advanced to fourth degree black belt. In 2022 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Bile Duct cancer, which is considered incurable and usually kills people within 2-3 years. During chemotherapy and radiation I have updated the Peabody Series and have started updating my short stories. I have disobeyed my doctors by staying fairly healthy and active. God has been my friend during my illness. I am taking life one day at a time. I write both fiction and non-fiction books. My novel VALKYRIES was nominated for the Christy Award in 2003. If the Lord keeps me here, I hope to bring it back into print.
