Joni Kerr

Joni is an American who was raised overseas because of her father's employment with an oil company. She has had the opportunity to live in Aruba, Spain, Venezuela, and Saudi Arabia. With this experience, Joni was able to interact with various people throughout her adolescent years which taught her how to easily connect with people of various nationalities. And which made her very much a global citizen. Because of her upbringing, she wanted to continue this lifestyle as an adult, therefore she pursued a degree in teaching which enabled her to find employment overseas. She has worked in ten different countries, which include: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, China, Luxembourg, Tunisia, and she is currently living in Malaysia. Along with having worked in these various countries, she has visited over 50 countries. She loves to travel and explore other countries during her vacation time and meet new people. She is an avid photographer and always documents her adventures, which enables her to share her experiences with others. For Joni, being an expat is all she knows since she has spent more time living overseas than in the United States. She holds a U.S. passport but she considers herself a citizen of the world and is a globally minded person who is able to assimilate into any culture that she might find herself in. To say that she has a wealth of information on being an expat is an understatement.
