Karl taught students mathematics and computer science for over thirty years. He is not a financial planner, has no formal training in personal finance or investing, and no certifications. He is simply a lifelong learner, constantly curious, and has been interested in personal finance since working in a credit union during high school and college. He has continued to learn about finances his entire adult life and has frequently served as a resource for family, friends and colleagues. Partially as a result of that experience, he sees the necessity for a book such as this, so he wanted to do his part to try to help others become financially literate. While it would be nice to make a little bit of money from this, that’s not really his expectation or his goal. This is a passion project for him. He hopes you find it helpful.
