Kevin Nugent

Dr. Kevin Nugent is the Founder and Director Emeritus of the Brazelton Institute, Boston Children's Hospital and teaches at Harvard Medical School and is Professor Emeritus at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. A colleagues of the late Berry Brazelton for over 40 years, he is an international expert on parent-infant communication and the author of Your Baby is Speaking to You, the new highly acclaimed book for parents, and many other books and articles on newborn behavior and early parent-child relationships. He is also co-author with Dr. Brazelton of the Neonatal Behavioral Assessment Scale. Professor Nugent and his colleagues have developed the Newborn Behavioral Observations (NBO) system, a clinical observation tool designed to help parents understand their baby's communication cues and strengthen the bond between parents and their baby.
