L. Annette Binder

L. Annette Binder was born in Germany and grew up in Colorado. Her story collection Rise (Sarabande 2012) received the Mary McCarthy Prize in Short Fiction, and her stories have appeared in the Pushcart Prize Anthology, the PEN/O. Henry Prize Stories, One Story, The Southern Review, American Short Fiction, and others. The Vanishing Sky (Bloomsbury 2020) is her first novel. It is inspired by her family history.
