Maria Kaj

关于作者

Storytelling that runs the gamut, with equal doses of statistics and compassion. Maria Kaj (kajmeister) is a writer and historian who loves the Olympics, dinosaurs, pickleball, and Shakespeare, not necessarily in that order. Her passion for the Games led to three books on the topic, most recently Women and the Olympic Dream from McFarland Publishing. She is also the author of two A to Z Essential Guides, The A to Z Olympics and The A to Z of Dinosaurs. Her other adventure in writing is a blog entitled “The Page Turns,” under a URL kajmeister, which covers history, travel, sports, and current events. Her educational background includes a Master’s degree in History, another in Business, and undergraduate work in English Lit and Accounting. When not writing, she works part-time as an instructor and content provider for an educational company, and volunteers for the United Way free Income Tax program. She previously spent years in corporate America taming spreadsheets and improving processes--now it's time to tame the writing gremlins! Married to a romance writer, she is thrilled to have raised two college graduates. She lives in northern California.
