Patty Blount

Patty Blount grew up quiet and invisible in Queens, NY, but found her voice writing smart and strong characters who fight for what's right. Today, she's the award-winning author of realistic contemporary and young adult fiction that packs an emotional punch. Still introverted, she gets lost often, eats way too much chocolate, and tends to fall in love with fictional characters. She also loves delivering writing craft workshops, keynote speeches, and talking to book clubs. Patty is best known for her teen novels including SEND (2012 Junior Library Guild Fall Pick), SOME BOYS (2015 CLMP Firecracker Award Winner, RWA Rita Finalist), and SOMEONE I USED TO KNOW, (2019 double YARWA Athena Award winner, 2018 Junior Library Guild Gold Award winner).
