Hello! I'm Rachael Lucas, and I write the sort of books you can read when you fancy a bit of comfort reading - whether that's on the beach, curled up on a comfy chair by a fire, or grabbing ten minutes to yourself on your daily commute. If you hit the little + follow button you'll be updated when my books are on sale, and emailed when a new one is released... Talking of which - THE LIGHTHOUSE LIBRARY is out now. It's the sixth novel I've written which is set in the little Scottish Highland village of Applemore, all of which are standalone stories. If you haven't read them all, now's a great time to catch up. Don't forget to pre-order A FARMHOUSE IN FRANCE which will be out in spring of 2025! I write my books at the kitchen table - all four of my children are almost grown up now, but they fly in and out of the nest, devouring the contents of the cupboards and asking to borrow the car keys, so it's the best place to get a passing hug and also to keep up with their news. After sixteen novels, I've learned to write with family life going on around me. When it's time for a break, our two spaniels are always ready for a walk on the beach nearby if we're in England, or through the sunflower fields and woods that surround our farmhouse in France where we spend as much time as we can! ___ Rachael Lucas has written 16 novels for adults and teenagers, including the Carnegie nominated THE STATE OF GRACE, top ten bestseller SEALED WITH A KISS and the internationally bestselling APPLEMORE series. She is also the author (as Rosie Curtis) We Met in December, an Amazon Editors' Pick. Her novels have been translated into many languages, including Korean, Hungarian, Italian, Turkish, French, German, Latvian, Estonian, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Dutch and more. Rachael's books are full of warmth and gentle humour, as well as beautiful small town settings which give her readers an escape from everyday. Her writing has been described as having "a gift for capturing complex emotion and both romantic and platonic intimacy" and writing which "exudes positivity and warmth" which has received starred reviews in Publisher's Weekly. The British Guardian called her "honest, romantic and hilarious".
