Rayna Gillman

Rayna Gillman is a quilt artist, author, and teacher who flunked sewing in 7th grade because she couldn't follow a pattern or sew a straight seam. Since then, she has written three quilt books: none of which requires either a pattern or a straight seam, and all of which encourage you to make Modern Quilts as you ask yourself "what if?" and improvise to create original work. Her newest book, Create Your Own Improv Quilts: Modern Quilting with No Rules & No Rulers, gives you a framework to use as a jumpring off point where you can vary the size, scale, colors, values, and fabrics to make your modern quilt truly your own.
