His writing explores themes like Nature, Existentialism, and the darker aspects of human-nature. His range of genres includes Crime, Neo-Noir, Neo-Western, Thriller, Horror, Southern Gothic, and others. Literary influences include Edgar Allan Poe, Arthur Conan Doyle, Ernest Hemingway, J.D. Salinger, Stephen King, and Cormac McCarthy. He began writing at the age of fifteen after winning a short-story contest put on by his 8th grade English teacher. It was his very first time writing anything fictional.
