Dear Amazon readers, Thank you for visiting my author area and for all your reviews and feedback. It’s wonderful to know that people enjoy my books and it makes my soul lift to know that my characters come alive in the imaginations and hearts of readers all around the world. Whenever a reader takes the time let a writer know that their novels are enjoyed, it’s so much appreciated. I always knew I want to be a writer and it really is the best job in the world to be able to write and share my stories. From an early age, I was busy filling note books with stories – mostly about ponies – and when my debut novel, 'Katy Carter Wants a Hero' was championed by Richard and Judy, and short-listed for the RNA's Romantic Comedy of the Year Award, it was a dream come true. Since then I’ve written almost thirty books. I write under my own name, but I also have several pen names which include Jessica Fox, Georgie Carter, Holly Cavendish and Lucy Hepburn. I’m published by Orion, Pan Macmillan, Harper Collins and Millington Press respectively. It’s been a busy few years! I’m lucky enough to live in and write about beautiful Cornwall. Living deep in du Maurier land, I’m never short of inspiration and I’m thrilled that my last novel, THE LETTER, was a finalist in the prestigious Winston Graham Prize for Historical Fiction and was also shortlisted for the Gorsedh Kernow Holyer an Gof Fiction prize. Writing about Cornwall is a joy – the county is absolutely magical and there are many more novels to come. My latest novel, THE PROMISE, is set in Cornwall between WW2 and the present day and I’m so excited to be sharing it with my readers. It’s a book that truly came from my soul and it means the world to me. When I’m not writing, I love to talk to my readers.
