Sandra Smith is the author of the award-winning Seed Savers series. She has a Master's degree in Teaching English and spent over twenty years teaching students of all ages English as a Second Language. As a child, Sandra worked on her parents' berry farm and enjoyed eating from her mother's tremendously large garden. She maintains that if you can’t taste the soil on a carrot, it’s not fresh enough. Today, Sandra lives in the city with her husband, cats, and backyard hens. She grows a small, urban garden every summer.
