About the Book: In-the-know food travellers, chefs and winemakers from all over the world come to eat and drink in Paris, looking for top-quality food and wine – with no frills – in vibrant fringe neighbourhoods. And that’s where you’ll find me, eating everything from gyoza and Chinese dumplings to sourdough baked goods, and discovering craft cocktail bars and fun after-hour chef hangouts. In fact, my favourite thing to make for dinner is reservations. My deep restaurant connections in Paris are why I love to help people discover it, either on my popular Instagram account @parisismykitchen, through the perfect recommendation for date night, hosting and producing restaurant travel TV shows or on a private food and wine tour which have been featured in The New York Times, Forbes Magazine, Wall St Journal, Travel + Leisure, Food & Wine Magazine and Condé Nast Traveller. Throughout this book, I’ve tried to tell the stories of the people and places that are unique to this city, the next new generation of Paris, shining a light on the diverse mix of individuals and communities that make Paris´culinary landscape what it is. It is an honour to share them with you. About the Author: After helping launch the first US-produced Michelin Guide in NYC, I became a Restaurant-Hospitality Consultant, Executive Producer, and freelance Journalist in the food and travel industry, on the go 200+ days a year on epic eating trips in the world’s most exciting restaurant cities. Since I grew up in the deep south sharing family meals around a table with animated conversation while my grandfather cooked, to me there simply is no joy greater than a meal that is shared. Although I was not born in Paris, it will always be home, the place I’ve spent more than 20 years eating as a professional food and travel writer.
