Dr. Jack P. Friedman is one of the most prolific authors of real estate and business books. They include Barron's Dictionary of Real Estate Terms, now in its 9th edition, which has been on best seller lists; Barron's Dictionary of Business and Economics Terms, 5th edition, also a best seller; and Barron's Real Estate License Exam Preparation, in its 11th edition. Friedman is Editor-in-Chief of The Encyclopedia of Investments, 2nd Edition, published by Warren, Gorham & Lamont, hailed as a book every investor should have; and General Editor of Litigation Support Report Writing, published by John Wiley & Sons. He is co-author of Income Property Appraisal & Analysis published by Prentice-Hall, 5 books in Barron's series of KEYS, and exam preparation books in four states. Some of his books have been translated into Russian, Chinese, and Slovene. Dr. Friedman was the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M's Senior Research Economist and Texas A&M's Finance Department's Laguarta Professor. He practiced at two big-four CPA firms in New York, Atlanta, and Dallas, serving in audit, tax, and consulting departments. Friedman has been on the faculty at three major universities, where he developed and taught courses on real estate investment analysis and income appraisal. He developed and taught for major appraisal organizations and the World Bank. He pioneered computerized real estate investment analysis on main frame and micro computers. Dr. Friedman holds the PhD, MBA, MAI, ASA, CRE, CPA, ABV, CFF and CGMA designations and is a licensed real estate broker and state certified general appraiser.
