Becky Lomax grew up hiking, camping, and skiing. She soon gained a love for the outdoors and the national parks of Washington. In college, she headed to the Rocky Mountains to work in Glacier National Park, using every spare minute to hike. Later, after she and her husband moved to Montana, she returned to Glacier, serving for a decade as a hiking and backpacking guide. She parlayed her love for exploring national parks into writing about them. She's written magazine stories about national park trails, backpacking, melting glaciers, environmental concerns, and historic places. Her favorite writing adventures have followed biologists into the field to collar bighorn sheep and grizzly bears.
