After serving in the United States Peace Corps in Mongolia (1997), Michael Jerryson has spent the following 20 years investigating under-explored Asian practices and beliefs. He is co-founder of the Comparative Approaches to Religion and Violence through the American Academy of Religion. Currently, he lives in northeast Ohio, but he has lived in different parts of the United States, Mongolia, Thailand, and Singapore. In addition to his passion to raise critical thinking and cultural awareness, he is an appreciator of red wines (from his days in California), Indian food (from cooking in a Himayalan style restaurant) and fantastical fiction and fantasy (from his days playing Dungeons and Dragons). As a husband and father of two, he continually invests in parenting styles that minimizes the spreading of discriminatory behavior and beliefs and promoting sustainable forms of living.
