Carl J. Pierson

Carl is the Executive Director of the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association. He transitioned to that role after 17 years as a head high school coach. He has also coached several seasons of baseball and football at the middle and high school levels. His first book, "The Politics of Coaching" was listed as one of 22 "must reads" for high school coaches by "Coach and Athletic Director Magazine". His newest release "The Other Side of Glory" chronicles a season for the Waconia Wildcats as they attempt the overcome a 45 year history of heartbreak. Carl also has published a humorous (and painfully true) short story titled "The Worst First Date Ever" as an audio book on Audible. Carl grew up in Mitchell, SD and currently lives in Minnesota with his wife Jean and their sons Boston and Colton.
