I grew up in Benton, Pennsylvania. I graduated from Washington Bible College in Lanham, MD, where I majored in Bible and minored in Missions. After briefly serving as missionaries in Grenada, West Indies, my family had to return to the U.S.A. because of health reasons. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, leading a women's Bible study, reading, writing, speaking at women's retreats and other women's events, nature, photography, learning, games, puzzles, and fishing. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Eric. We have three adult children, a daughter-in-law, and two grandsons. I home schooled for 23 years. In addition to having published my book, I am a freelance writer. I write articles and create word and logic puzzles. My work has been published in Focus on the Family's Clubhouse and Clubhouse, Jr. magazines, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Miracles and More, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Laughter is the Best Medicine, Genesee Valley Parent Magazine, Message on-line, newspaper opinion editorials, and Cadet Quest. The Lord used the publication of The Other Side of the Tapestry to birth a ministry to hurting people. Eric and I are thankful for the opportunities He gives us to connect with people and to participate in events that address topics such as suicide, depression, grief, loss, and mental health. We are not trained counselors, but we do know what it is like to hurt and to move toward healing.
