Dr. James Densley is a British-American sociologist, criminal justice professor, and co-founder of The Violence Project, best known for its database of mass shooters. He is the author of eight books, including "The Violence Project: How to Stop a Mass Shooting Epidemic", which won the 2022 Minnesota Book Award. Densley has appeared on BBC News, CBS This Morning, CNN Newsroom, Deadline: White House, Dr. Phil, Don Lemon Tonight, Face the Nation, Morning Joe, PBS NewsHour, and other major TV shows. He has written for The Guardian, HuffPost, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, Time Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post.
