About the Author Chef Ricardo Biog Born and raised in the beautiful town of Ocho Rios on the island of Jamaica, Chef Ricardo is a professional Chef with multiple qualifications, who grew up surrounded by a vibrant hospitality industry offering some of the best food in the Caribbean. Although not an easy decision at the time Chef Ricardo moved to London, England and has since then worked in many different restaurants in London. Working his way up through the ranks in restaurants and influenced by my family’s home cooking style, his love for the culinary arts steadily grew into a passion. Chef Ricardo has also worked in an after school project and an international residential private school. In addition Chef Ricardo has worked as a Private Chef, catered for private functions and large events and is also a former restaurant owner. 2013 was the year when Chef Ricardo started his YouTube channel but he started to take it more seriously in 2016. In 2022 Chef Ricardo became the very first Jamaican chef to win the prestigious Gold Play Button Award from YouTube Chef Ricardo’s book about his life is entitled From Poverty To Purpose - Chef Ricardo’s Secret Recipes to Success
