Michael F. Patton

At birth, Michael F. Patton, Jr. came within one letter of being named after his father, Michael F. Patton, Sr. If he ever has a son, he hopes to spare him that lifelong disappointment. He published The Cartoon Introduction to Philosophy in 2015 (Hill and Wang) which, for some reason, has been translated into 18 languages so far. Michael lives, loves, and is an Emeritus Professor of Philosophy (though not necessarily in that order) in Montevallo, Alabama at the eponymous University located there. He thanks his tolerant wife, Cheryl, and his sociopathic cats for all their help.
