Brace E. Barber is a Christian Apologetics Speaker and Teacher. His Christian Ministry work incorporates the Leadership and Strategic expertise that he developed in the military and corporate world. His focus is on Keeping Christian Kids Christian. Starting at West Point and for the past 30 years Brace E. Barber has had responsibility as a leader of people. He graduated from the U.S. Army’s Airborne and Ranger Schools and served for 11 years as an active duty Army Officer in posts around the world. In that time he became an expert strategist and leader. After leaving the military he gained extensive experience and competency in building companies from idea through to success. He accomplished his missions against entrenched competitors in highly dynamic environments like the one in which the Church finds itself today. Brace is the author of the popular book, No Excuse Leadership, Lessons from the U.S. Army’s Elite Rangers, (Note: some authentic language) and the book Sun Tzu’s Pattern of Power, The Art of War Organized for Decision Making. His latest book, TESTED, A New Strategy for Keeping Kids in the Faith, provides a method for any parent or pastor to confidently help kids build a deep faith. Brace became a force in Christian ministry as he dealt with his responsibilities as a Christian father. He faced the reality that his three teenagers, despite being raised in the Church, were unprepared for the testing of a skeptical world and were at real risk of leaving the Christian Faith. Brace put his leadership and strategy expertise to the task of discovering how to best prepare his teenagers for the battle ahead. Through the process, he was stunned to learn that the Christian Church loses 75% of its kids after high school. Brace was no longer working just for his kids; he was working for the body of Christ. Brace speaks passionately about the leadership characteristics and strategy necessary to immediately stop the loss of Christian youth from the Church and how to set the stage for revival. Brace provides hope for parents and churches as he illustrates a clear path to success in strengthening our youth and turning them into an incredible evangelical force. He is an ardent believer in the responsibility of both fathers and churches as part of this mission. To that end, Brace speaks to Congregations, Church Leadership, Men’s ministries, Youth ministries and Retreats. Brace has been involved in his Church and Youth Ministry for the past 12 years where he teaches small groups and speaks to the youth congregation. He teaches apologetics at the high-school level where he introduces his students to the world’s perspectives and prepares them for face-to-face atheist interaction. His process of education, preparation and engagement is part of a process designed for any Church or parent to use to give their kids the best possible chance to not only survive the spiritual battle but to be victorious in fulfilling the Great Commission. In his talks, he applies his experience as a strategist and planner to the problem and gives parents and the Church an adjusted perspective and solution to the problem. His message will strengthen the faith of every attendee and encourage optimism in the embattled Church. No parent should have to hear their child say that they don’t believe in Christ anymore. Brace’s leadership expertise revolves around how to perform effectively under duress. Leadership in the Army focuses on performing in battle, and that is exactly where Christians are today. As an Army veteran he understands the environment at a deep level. Christian kids are facing the duress of persecution and they must learn how to achieve their goal of Salvation in spite of that. Brace believes that it is the responsibility of parents and Churches to show them the way and it is his responsibility to teach parents and Churches. Brace is a 1987 graduate of West Point and the veteran of 11 years of active Army service. After leaving the Army he has been the co-founder and leader of several companies involved in tax preparation, composite armor and tactical firearms. He has consulted on leadership and strategy with countless other companies. He has spoken to corporate and military audiences including Sam’s Club, West Point and the Air Force Academy. He became a Christian at the age of 28 after an upbringing and young adulthood of agnosticism. Brace and his family live near Nashville, Tennessee. Brace provides hope for parents and churches as he illustrates a clear path to success in strengthening our youth and turning them into an incredible evangelical force. Authenticity of Apologetics and Christian Youth How to turn lukewarm youth into steadfast Christians. Brace explains how we can give our youth exactly what they are looking for. We can engage their skepticism head on and show them that there is no other worldview as well supported or as rational as Christianity. Authenticity is communicated to our youth when we acknowledge their questions as valid and then satisfy their intellectual curiosity with the rock-solid evidence that science and history have provided us. Apologetics is not the only answer, but the subject area is a major tool in our quest to save our youth.
