I have been working with computers since I was a child, but stopped waiting tables to to work in IT back in 1997. Originally a system administrator, I found my passion for networking through video games like Doom, and Duke Nukem. Eventually my job required more and more networking experience, and I have been fortunate enough to work for large companies like Advanced Micro Devices, Edward Jones, Monsanto, and Cisco Systems. In pursuit of my second CCIE (Service Provider), I wrote multiple workbooks to reinforce the knowledge that I have learned, which benefited others within Cisco. I have always been one to share knowledge where there is a desire to learn. After passing the CCIE SP lab, I wanted to give back to others inside and outside of Cisco by explaining various networking concepts from a different perspective. My first book "IP Routing on Cisco IOS, IOS XE, and IOS XR" allowed me to place the reader into the mindset of how a router thinks and behaves. It is best source for getting deep into a routing protocol with visual and textual explanations. My latest book "Cisco Intelligent WAN (IWAN)" allows me and other Cisco experts to explain the inner-workings of an intelligent, secure, transport independant and optimized WAN architecture. I hope that you find my content helpful and beneficial, and remember.... Happy Labbing!
