Janet Garman

Long time farmer, Janet Garman, began writing about animal and poultry care to encourage new homesteaders to get started with farm animals. Her first book, Chickens From Scratch was released in 2015. Margarita and the Beautiful Gifts, (2016) is a delightful children's book inspired by two ducks that came to live on Janet's farm. 50 Do it Yourself Projects for Keeping Chickens, helps chicken keepers create useful items and provide good natural care for their birds. In addition to poultry, Janet and her family raise a flock of sheep and fiber goats that provide the resources for the soft, locally milled yarn that is sold from the farm and on Etsy.com.
