After extensive global travels, Rebecca left the UK to return to the country she fell in love with- Greece, maintains her travel website Life Beyond Borders and wryly observes that the chaotic nature of her adopted country actually suits her personality very well. She is a Rough Guide & Lonely Plant co-author and researcher for Greece & the Greek Islands and has contributed to numerous publications including easyJet Traveller Magazine, various inflight magazine articles, the Daily Telegraph Travel Section, VIE Lifestyle and Travel magazine and the Sunday Times Travel section plus online articles for Rough Guides and various international travel & travel insurance sites. Her container ship voyage from Athens to Hong Kong caught the eye of NPR National Radio in the United States, where she was interviewed twice. She is now a full time travel writer, a member of Travel Writers UK and divides her time between the UK and Greece, appreciating the benefits of both countries. Her debut novel - Girl Gone Greek, self-published and released in June 2015 continues to sell well and Rebecca continues to promote this through various Literary Festivals, on cruises, in hotels and talks in schools where she hopes to motivate students into the benefits of writing. 'Girl Gone Greek' was adapted into a script in 2017 and won Best Feature Fiction Script at the London Greek Film Festival 2018 and Best Screenplay at the 2020 Santorini Film Festival. Rebecca is ever hopeful it will be picked up and adapted into a miniseries, further showcasing the beauty of Greece and its people. When not writing, you'll usually find her drinking coffee with her friends, sourcing a new place to eat baklava or researching her next adventure trip to showcase to you all.
