Alison Cross (1963 to .....some time in the VERY distant future. I hope) I first became interested in Tarot as a curious teenager. Life (university and boys, not necessarily in that order) soon got in the way and I didn't return to Tarot until just after 2002. After a few months of trying to learn about the cards on my own, I signed up as a member of The Tarot Association of The British Isles (TABI). Since then, I've gone on to hold several administrative roles within TABI and eventually became the group's Chair. This is a role that I held (on and off) for over eight years. During that time I began working with Will Worthington, the greatly respected artist and illustrator of such decks as The Druidcraft Tarot and The Celtic Lenormand Oracle. When The Wildwood Tarot was published, back in 2011, I came on board to help manage the official Wildwood website www.thewildwoodtarot.com for the deck's creators Mark Ryan and John Matthews. The following year, I began working on a series of posts for the Wildwood Tarot's facebook page; these became the basis for my e-book, A Year In The Wildwood. Written with the blessing of the deck's creative team and Eddison Sadd, the publisher at that time, A Year in The Wildwood is my first published book. This was followed by Tarot Kaizen which was based on a group that I set up on Facebook, designed to help those of us who splurged on gorgeous (ie expensive lol!) kickstarter tarot decks that just lie in the drawer gathering dust and make us feel guilty. The exercises (over 100 of them) helps you turn that little-used deck into a hard-working tool that deserves its place in your collection. In November 2022, after many years of gestation, I finally published Tarot Court Card DNA - with the support of three marvellous artists - Alexander Daniloff, Sullivan Hismans and Will Worthington - and with a foreword generously written by tarot queen Caitlin Matthews, I hope that it helps people work confidently and creatively with the tarot's court cards. I'm an ardent blogger, specialising in helping other Tarot card readers understand and more easily work with the court cards of the Tarot. If you find the Courts puzzling, visit my blog at www.tarot-thrones.com As a full-time Tarotist, I craft bespoke Tarot sessions that help professional people gain clarity on their goals and together with my clients, create strategies to help move towards goals or through challenges (both professional and personal). You can find me on the Isle of Bute on Scotland's beautiful west coast, where I live with my partner, son and retired racing greyhound. Most of my day is spent writing, reading Tarot, or making smart comments on Facebook, but from time to time I half-heartedly attempt to factor in a little light housework. But only if I REALLY have to :)
