Dr Elaine Beaumont is a psychotherapist who specialises in cognitive behavioural psychotherapy (CBT), compassion focused therapy (CFT) and eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR). Elaine works with a range of organisations and charities primarily working with people who have experienced either primary or secondary trauma. Elaine is also a part-time lecturer at the University of Salford where her academic interests focus on therapeutic interventions for trauma, how we can use creative exercises to boost wellbeing, compassion in healthcare and the importance of practitioner self-care. Elaine is passionate about helping people cultivate compassion for their own suffering and she provides training and workshops regarding mental health, compassion and wellbeing for a variety of organisations.
